Privacy and cookies

Nothing you type leaves your device. The calculators are JavaScript running in your browser, there is no server-side processing, and no measurement or price you enter is transmitted, logged or stored. Reloading the page clears it.

The site is served as static files by GitHub Pages, which records standard web server access data such as IP address and user agent. We do not have access to those logs beyond aggregate traffic figures.

The site is verified in Google Search Console, which reports which search queries led here in aggregate. It identifies no individual.

There are no ads on this site yet. We have applied to Google AdSense, and until Google approves the site no ad is served, no advertising script is loaded and no advertising cookie is set. The one thing published for the application is ads.txt, a single public line naming the AdSense account allowed to sell ad space here.

When ads start, this is how they will work:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and out of other vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
• In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks first, before any advertising cookie is set, and lets you change your answer later.
• Google explains what it does with the information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

None of this touches the calculators. They run entirely in your browser, and this site's code never sends what you type anywhere.
